About

A man standing, arms outstretched, on the rim of the Grand Canyon.

Hello and welcome! My name is Jeffrey Inscho, and I’m a senior product manager at a prominent US-based outdoor retailer. When I’m not working, you can usually find me running trails, cycling around my hometown of Pittsburgh, shredding on the slopes, or sending boulders. Both nature and technology play big roles in my life, and this site is a manifestation of those interests.

I’ve written on the internet since I was a kid in the late 90’s. Geocities was my gateway into the personal homepage, which gave way to blogging, and then to shitposting on social media. But like everything in life, what’s old becomes new again. And here we are – back to the personal website. More on this decision in my post Death to the Algorithm.

This website is an experiment in low-latency writing that I publish with no predictable cadence. I do this as a personal thought exercise and a way to capture snapshots of perspective. I post both long-form essays and shorter micro-posts on professional topics like product management, retail technology and the outdoor industry, in addition to personal updates such as adventure recaps and in-the-moment photos.

Everything I post on this site is a part of the open social web. Posts get automatically published to Mastodon and Bluesky. You can also follow along via RSS or JSON.
